Regional Sales Consultant, Career Opportunity in Ottawa, Ontario

Job description

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

Sales:

  • Is the first point of contact for all C2C leads directed into the Ottawa Region
  • Leverage Chartwell’s consultative sales process to help seniors and adult children make informed decisions when choosing the appropriate retirement residence in the Ottawa Region.  Successfully executes the Chartwell sales process
  • Converts sales calls to Personal Visits into one or multiple Ottawa Region Chartwell residences
  • Ensures a smooth transition of the prospect to the residence level RLC team by providing and discussing full sales discovery analysis
  • Ability to conduct successful home visit with new prospects if required prior to transitioning  prospect to residence level RLC
  • Assists residence level RLC in finalizing leasing if required for prospects originating through C2C leads
  • Tracks sales activity in our CRM database and analyze reports to identify sales trends specific to the C2C leads generated
  • Meets established Region-specific sales targets
  • Assists Ottawa Region with additional RLC residence coverage when required
  • Develops and fosters teamwork with each residence team to ensure strong communication and cooperation 

Marketing:

  • Develops in depth knowledge of all Ottawa Region Chartwell residences and competition
  • Supports Ottawa Region marketing strategy
  • Researches and maintains competitive analysis, and shares all information with Ottawa Region team
  • Shares information and participates in marketing efforts to develop and implement best practices throughout the Region
  • Identifies sales trends specific to the community and residences

Revenue and Inventory Management:

  • Tracks and analyzes available suite inventory and market rates across all assigned residences
  • Tracks and analyzes in-coming demand (C2C leads) in relation to customer requirements and available inventory, making recommendations for suite upgrades and modifications as required.
  • Distributes Regional Suite Availability reports to Hospitals and other Influencers
  • Acts as the hub for the collection of all required data from assigned residences.     

Leadership:

  • Participates in strategic planning and decision making
  • Participates as a member of the work team and provides support to the other members of the team
  • Actively participates in weekly management meetings to provide updates regarding sales trends, new prospects, marketing events, and other related information

Budget & Financial:

Sales forecasting based on C2C lead analysis        

The ideal candidate will possess: 

  • Experience in generating sales relationships
  • Experience in marketing and/or customer service
  • Experience working with seniors
  • Experience with CRM systems and creating reports
  • Successful completion of secondary school or equivalent.
  • Post-secondary education in related field a benefit
  • Strong prospecting and closing skills
  • The ability to successfully follow an established sales process, including closing sales transactions
  • Ability to plan, organize, and execute of marketing plans and programs
  • Creative thinker within program boundaries
  • Empathetic and caring interpersonal customer service skills
  • Ability to multi task, network and promote services
  • Results focused in a pro-active busy environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of the community and surrounding areas
  • Computer literate with knowledge of related software programs
