Somerford Place Alzheimer’s Assisted Living is the only free-standing dementia community in Howard County. Our building is specially designed to encourage our memory-impaired residents to take part in our vibrant community in a secure, supportive environment. Somerford’s community layout has four cottage style neighborhoods to recreate a home-like atmosphere. Our secured outdoor walking path and courtyard are spacious areas that offer a sense of freedom, while our indoor community is designed with large windows and bright lighting to lessen the effects of sundowning.

Our 24 hour on-site nursing staff promotes dignity and independence to lead a full and rewarding life regardless of what stage a resident is in their dementia. Our 64 room community creates a small, empowering residence in which everyone becomes family. We offer permanent move-in’s, short stay and onsite rehab to fit your needs.
