THE POSITION
The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs is looking for someone to provide food service work in our long-term care facility serving our veterans and their spouses. If you enjoy working with food and people, we've got the job for you!
Food Service Workers perform routine work in the preparation of meals and sanitation of food preparation/serving areas at a Department of Military and Veterans Affairs veterans home. Duties include: cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, pans, work surfaces, and other kitchen items; preparing trays, measuring portions, serving food, and transporting trays, carts and nourishment; using equipment such as mixers, dicers, slicers, knives, and grinders.

WORK HOURS:
6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (Rotating Days/Weekends) 20 hours weekly
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
No previous experience and training required, but previous food service worker experience preferred.
