Job description

DESCRIPTION:

Serves as the primary college representative to recruit prospective students utilizing a multi-faceted approach to programming. Develops and takes responsibility for the implementation of a broad annual student recruitment plan for all college markets including the high schools and other target markets such as prospective students.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

A. Demonstrates a commitment to continuous quality improvement and results analysis relative to the student recruitment and intake process, policy, and communication.

B. Manages prospective student population.  Specifically, establishes and maintains liaisons with potential students from area middle and secondary schools and career center.  Work with school administrators and counselors to identify opportunities for outreach and information sharing  Collaborate with KCC faculty and staff for outreach activities.

C. Conducts regular visits to high schools in the target area.

D. Provides enrollment management expertise to help the college address its enrollment needs and challenges.

E. Assists with the implementation of the college's customer relationship management (CRM) system.

F. Serves as a lead administrator for the customer relationship management system to establish contact with and monitor prospective students through the intake process.

G. Builds relationships with prospective students by consistently utilizing personal follow-up communication via mail, social media, texts, web, email, phone, and face-to-face contacts.  Submits updated prospect lists, with enrollment tracking, as part of a monthly report.

H. Maintains thorough and accurate knowledge of KCC programs to answer questions accurately, make referrals, and effectively present up-to-date information about the college's programs and services.

I. Actively serves on the Enrollment Management  Committee. Coordinates communications with and provides guidance, updates and feedback to the Enrollment Management Committee relative to student recruitment initiatives.

J. Collaborates with associate deans, retention staff, recruitment volunteers, students, committee members, and faculty to coordinate recruitment efforts.

K. Presents and coordinates informational programs and tours to students, parents, teachers and all prospective students and groups. Assists in scheduling and staffing presentations at college fairs, and other recruitment events.

L. Organizes and hosts the annual high school counselors' day event for high school personnel.

M. Works evening and weekend hours, when necessary, for recruitment events.

N. Demonstrates a positive attitude and team approach toward accomplishing institutional goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Bachelor's degree in a related field required, master's degree preferred.

B. Public relations, marketing, enrollment management, recruitment, customer service experience preferred.

C. Experience working with the public preferred.

D. Excellent oral and written communications skills preferred.  Spanish speaking and writing fluency preferred.

E. Ability to provide own transportation and to work some evenings and weekends required.

 

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:

Salary range:  $39,579 min - $51,751 mid - $63,923 max
