Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and repairing community buildings and grounds in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards/regulations and company policies
  • Performing preventative maintenance on all building equipment
  • Directing and executing preventative maintenance programs, general repairs and unit-turns
  • Directing the community maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry staff to include hiring, training, and evaluating performance
  • Conducting regular inspections, identifying needs and executing correction and/or coordinating with the Regional Maintenance Director

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three years of related maintenance experience and/or training
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes, basic plumbing, painting and electrical a must
  • Proficiency in basic carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public
  • Flexibility with schedule
  • Must have a compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly
