Position Summary:

Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and Care Service Manager the Health Care Aide (HCA) will be accountable for assisting residents experiencing early to late stages of Dementia with daily living. In accordance with polices & procedures the Health Care Aide (HCA) will be accountable for assisting residents with their activities of daily living to be delivered within their level of capability while promoting choices & independence and maintaining resident dignity.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Completed a Health Care Aide Certificate.
• Experience providing care to the elderly, disabled & those with all stages of dementia an asset.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent observation, communication and problem solving skills.
